REQUIREMENTS

- Unreal Engine 5.8, Windows (Win64).

- Requires the built-in Enhanced Input and Niagara plugins (enabled automatically).

- Code plugin: Fab compiles the source. In the Content Browser, turn on "Show Plugin Content" to find the demo map (MercuryStreamliner Content > Maps).

- Blueprint-only projects: to PACKAGE your game, add any C++ class once (Tools > New C++ Class
> None) or have Visual Studio 2022 installed, so the plugin code is compiled into your game. Playing in the editor works without this.

GETTING STARTED

- Open the demo map and press Play. You start in walk mode in the observation car.

- To use it in your own level: place AMercuryTrainController, assign your own spline track (AMercuryTrack) and edit DA_MercuryConsist to add, remove or reorder cars.

- Full documentation ships inside the plugin: README.md, Docs/Integration.md, Docs/API.md (67 Blueprint-callable functions and events).

DEFAULT CONTROLS (all rebindable via Enhanced Input)

- Drive: W/S throttle, Space brake, R reverser, H headlight, B bell. Cab: drag levers, F firedoor, whistle cord.

- Walk: WASD + mouse, O doors, L cabin lights, X sit/stand in any seat, Q/E swivel, F recline, V toggle walk/train cameras.

PERFORMANCE

- Lumen + Virtual Shadow Maps; all lighting is dynamic. Measured 92-133 fps at 1440p (Epic) on an RTX 4070. Use the High scalability preset for 60 fps on RTX 3060-class GPUs.

- Interiors of cars the player is not in are culled automatically.
